Undergraduate student Isabel Ruffin received the Duke Physics departmental award for her outstanding research accomplishments. Ruffin received the Daphne Chang Memorial Award which is given to the best undergraduate research thesis each year. Ruffin has done research in the department since her freshman year with Prof. Michael Rubenstein. Her thesis titled “Predicting Intrinsically Disordered Protein Conformations Using Polyampholyte Theory” earned her the award.
